The new age of mourning deaths

In this new area of social media as people the way we mourn someone’s death has changed a lot more than we realize  but why is the cause of that ? . Lee Humphreys Talked about how historically people will have diaries where you would keep secrets , feelings  in a notebook but for only for you but today that has changed rather quickly . In highchool I remember when making a "finsta"  which is basically a second private Instagram account where you would post Feelings, videos of partying and whatever else you wouldn't want your family to be able to see. In my personal experience social media will train you to think that you always have to post your feelings or opinions but in reality that is not true . Sometimes you have to deal with things in real time and not on social media for example there are plenty of people on snapchat that I see posting daily when something In their life goes wrong and it be something so simple as them dropping their coffee in the morning.

As most people know recently the world lost a legend in Kobe Bryant in a plan crash that not only killed him and his daughter but also 7 other people including a whole family. Basketball fans across the globe were devastated instantly when the news of the crash surfaced across social media and so was i because i simply couldn’t believe it but i noticed some things those next few days. I saw multiple media pages posting about kobe but then I noticed people were created new kobe fan pages just days after his death but only because they knew it would get them the following that they desire so bad to get which is sad. In the pic below you will see that LeBron made a tribute post to kobe just like everyone in the nba did as well but the key words that stuck  out to me were that he wasn't ready to address social media about kobe's  death its almost like the world pressured him into finally making a tribute post . I think its odd to feel like we have to make a post such as that because I know for sure if I lost a loved one I would not be concerned about making a post for social media at all .
